A Godly Summer Game

Summer break is here! With it comes plenty of activities for the kiddos, and likely plenty of down time too. We’ve got a list going of things to do with and for the kids, and we’re always looking for new ideas. Here’s one we’d like to share that brings God into the activities. It’s a God scavenger hunt. The idea is to try to find God in as many different ways as you can. Read the Bible verse at the beginning of the week or day and challenge the kids to find God in that way. At the end of the day, or even at the end of each day for a week, see who was able to find God!

Can you find:

God in Nature? Rom 1:20, Psalm 19:1-2

God in Prayer? Jer 29:12-13, Matt 18:20

God in others? Matt 5:16, Matt 25:37-40

God in quiet? Ps 46:10, 1 Kings 19:11-12

God in play/rejoicing? Ps 118:24, Ps 126:2

Hopefully by the end of Summer the whole family will have developed a habit of looking out for God every day.
